Access keys

Standards compliance

  1. The pages within the Vibat website should comply with the The Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines for level 1.
  2. The pages within the Vibat website should validate as XHTML 1.0 Transitional.
  3. The stylesheets within the Vibat website should validate according to W3C regulations.
  4. Pages in this website use structured semantic markup.


  1. At the top of each page there are three skip links which allow the User to bypass the main content on the page and jump directly to the main navigation, the sub navigation or the footer navigation.
  2. The pages have been built so that the main content precedes all other content.
  3. Every page has a standard footer. This contains three links: Accessibility Statement (this page), Sitemap, Credits and Terms & Conditions.

  2. Where images are used as the link item, the alt text of the image should be the same as the title text for both the image and the link.

Visual design

  1. This service uses stylesheets and xhtml for visual layout.
  2. The website only uses relative font sizes, allowing the User to override any font settings in the browser.
  3. Particular care has been taken to ensure that browsing devices that do not support stylesheets will still be able to read the content in a meaningful way.
